As you may be aware, Anthropology Day is fast approaching. In response to various constraints posed by the on-going global health crisis, AGSA has been working to find new ways to bring the normal fanfare of Anthropology Day to as many people as possible.

Thanks to the generous support of our key sponsors, The Friends of Anthropology, AGSA is thrilled to announce that on FEBRUARY 18th, this cherished annual event will take place LIVE in virtual reality!

AGSA Merchandise - Design Contest!

• Design a unique AGSA tee-shirt or mask. Download the blank shirt/mask template attached to this email & customize it.
• Email agsasocial@gmail.com your final creations BEFORE February 17th!
• Come to Anthro Day & vote on your favorite designs.
• The winning merch design will be sold on our website and the artist will receive a physical copy of their creation for free.

"The Future Faces of Anthropology" - Student Photo Slideshow

• AGSA wants to recognize all of the resilient anthropology students who have persevered through this global health crisis. Send us your selfies so we can include your face in a slideshow acknowledging and thanking the diverse members of our department's socially-distanced community.

• We will be framing the digital walls of our event space with students' research posters.

• Pre-recorded virtual interviews with some of SDSU's esteemed anthropology professors about their work, and how they have navigated the COVID-19 crisis.

2pm - Meet & Greet [Networking Event]

3pm - AGSA Merchandise Design Winner Announced
